What you need

tbsp desiccated coconut

tbsp ginger paste
tbsp garlic paste

tsp chili powder

tsp ground coriander

tsp garam masala

tsp turmeric

tsp salt

tsp ground black pepper

tbsp avocado oil

tbsp dried cilantro

tsp lemon juice

green onion
lemon wedge

diced tomatoes with green chilies
Instructions
0 In a medium mixing bowl, combine desiccated coconut, ginger, garlic, chili powder, ground coriander, turmeric, garam masala, salt and pepper. 1 Using a paper towel, pat the shrimp dry and add it to the bowl. Toss to coat the spice mixture very well on all sides. 2 Heat oil in a large cast iron skillet (or non-stick) at medium high heat. Place the masala coated shrimp in a single layer in the skillet, without crowding the pan. 3 Cook about [timer minutes=1]1 minute[/timer] on each side until slightly curled and just opaque, turning them with tongs. The shrimp should still be tender and juicy. 5 Tip: Do not over cook the shrimp or they will turn rubbery. Total cooking time may vary from [timer minutes=2]2 to 4 minutes[/timer]. Cast iron skillet retains heat, so cooking time may be a bit more for regular non-stick pan. 4 Transfer immediately to a serving dish and garnish with chopped cilantro, chopped green onions and lemon juice. Extra lemon wedges on the side.View original recipe
